2.1 Information from LinkedIn
When you sign in with LinkedIn, we receive and store the following from your LinkedIn profile:
- Name — displayed as the author on your reviews
- Email address — used as your unique account identifier
- Profile photo URL — used as a fallback profile image for claimed recruiter profiles
2.2 Information You Provide
- Reviews — including rating, title, body text, and selected attributes
- Recruiter suggestions — names and types of recruiters or agencies you suggest
- Recruiter responses — if you are a recruiter responding to reviews
- Profile photos — if you upload a custom photo for a claimed profile
- Reports — reason and optional details when you report a review
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and access timestamps for security and operational purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Display your reviews with your name as the author
- Enable recruiters to claim profiles and respond to reviews
- Operate the moderation and reporting system
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
- Improve and maintain the Service
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Your information may be visible as follows:
- Reviews are publicly visible and display your name as the author
- Email addresses are visible only to you in your account settings and to platform administrators for moderation purposes
- Reports are visible only to platform administrators
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in our database and protected using industry-standard security measures. Passwords are not stored directly — authentication is handled entirely through LinkedIn OAuth. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through your account settings
- Edit or delete your reviews at any time
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us
- Withdraw consent for data processing by deleting your account
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
8. Third-Party Services
We use LinkedIn as our authentication provider. When you sign in, you are subject to LinkedIn's Privacy Policy. We only receive the profile information described in Section 2.1 and do not have access to your LinkedIn connections, messages, or other private data.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
